Akzo Nobel is proud to announce its first major insurer approval for 2008, as Admiral Group renews its relationship with Akzo Nobel Sikkens for a further five years.

Akzo Nobel Sikkens started working with Admiral as its preferred paint supplier in 2006, after winning a three year partnership with the insurance specialist. After a strong working relationship was established terms were renegotiated, culminating in the new five year contract.

Keith Welch, Admiral’s Business Relationship Manager, commented:

“We decided to draw up a new contract with Akzo Nobel Sikkens because they understand the importance and value of Admiral's repairer network. Because of this they are easy to work with.” 

Admiral principally sells private motor insurance. Since the company began in 1993 it has grown rapidly and now boasts a 150 strong, preferred network of bodyshops. Admiral is part of Admiral Group which also incorporates the well-known insurance brands Diamond, elephant.co.uk, and the UK's leading car insurance price comparison website, Confused.com.
